In 1972, Jimmy Rea founded Mid-South Auction in Philadelphia, MS. Two years later, his brother Kenny joined, officially making it a family business. Impressed with their commitment to honest, friendly service, Jackson dealers asked the brothers to open up an operation in their neck of the woods. And so they did. In 1982, Mid-South Auction came to the Capital City where it flourished in its downtown location - and survived the Pearl River flood that same year - until relocating to a larger location north of County Line Road. Then, in 1994, Mid-South Auction became Rea Brothers' Mid-South Auction. Jimmy's son, John Rea, joined the partnership six years later, and in 2005, with their business continuing to expand, the family opened a state-of-the-art facility built on 48 acres in Pearl.
